Improving Access to Medicines

EURORDIS is involved in several initiatives to improve access to rare disease medicines across Europe

EURORDIS actively advocated for the European Committee of Experts on Rare Diseases (EUCERD) Recommendation on Improving informed decisions based on the Clinical Added Value of Orphan Medicinal Products (CAVOMP).

EURORDIS advocates a “value-based pricing” approach for orphan medicines as elaborated in the Mechanism of Coordinated Access to Orphan Medicinal Products (MoCA) process launched in 2010.
