Julia Saperia

Following an undergraduate degree in mathematics from the University of Bristol, Julia Saperia obtained a Master’s degree in Statistics with Applications in Medicine from the University of Southampton in 2003.

After 3 years working as a medical statistician in academia (Southampton and London), she moved to the National Collaborating Centre for Women's and Children's Health (UK).

While there she was a systematic reviewer and project manager, principally writing clinical guidelines on behalf of the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence. Her work led her to in collaborate closely with committees of medical experts, and patient and carer representatives.

In September 2009 she joined the European Medicines Agency where she works as a medical statistician supporting the work of the paediatric medicines team and the Paediatric Committee (PDCO).
