Concha Mayo’s collaboration with EURORDIS began in 2019 at the Open Academy, where she provided training to European patient advocates.
Over time, her involvement with EURORDIS has expanded, and she now performs as the Mental Health Engagement Manager in the EURORDIS’ Mental Health & Wellbeing Initiative. In this role, her key responsibilities include supporting the development and coordination of the EURORDIS Mental Wellbeing Partnership Network, which provides expert advice on activities, strategies, and deliverables, as well as managing and designing capability-building and communication activities.
Concha is an ontological Coach and trainer, deeply passionate about personal development, creative writing, and photography. She has been offering coaching, guidance, and support to individuals in their personal and professional development journeys since 2017.
Recently, she also collaborated with Rare Diseases International (RDI) to create and manage a global panel of experts, including rare disease patients and clinicians, for the WHO-hosted Network called The Global Network for Rare Diseases.
Before entering the non-profit sector and the rare disease community, Concha gained valuable experience by collaborating with various companies in people development.
Concha’s educational background includes completing an Accredited Coach Training Program in Ontological Coaching in 2017 and obtaining an Executive Master in Marketing Management in 2009-2010. She is also Belbin Team Role Accredited (2018) and has attended several seminars and courses focused on personal development, such as the Nine Enneagrams Type (2023) and Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman (2020).
