Eric Koster

Eric Koster studied Theology at the Department of Theology of the University of Utrecht and the Catholic Theological University of Utrecht in The Netherlands.

Eric specialised in New Testament ethics, normative philosophy and christian ethics and received his degree as doctorandus (MA) in 1988. He served several congregations of the Dutch Reformed Church as a minister.

Since 1999 he has worked as hospital chaplain/spiritual counsellor at the hospital Medisch Spectrum Twente in Enschede, The Netherlands.

In 2002 he joined the Institutional Review Board Twente as an ethicist. He is also a member of the hospital Ethics Committee and chairs the hospital Committee on Moral Deliberation which organises meetings in which physicians and nurses discuss medical ethical casuistics.
