Edith (Sky) Gross joined EURORDIS in October 2021 as Health and Social Science Senior Project Manager. She is currently representing EURORDIS in the 5 years long European 'Innovative Medicine Initiative' project « Screen4Care » aimed at utilising advanced technologies to shorten the path to diagnosis for rare disease patients.

Edith holds a PhD in medical sociology along with a business degree, and has a rich research background, including four postdoctoral fellowships and more than a dozen peer-reviewed publications in different areas at the intersection of medicine, ethics and social sciences. Her professional background includes a position as director of Social Sciences and Humanities at the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology, and as Biomedical Director at the Victoria (Australia) Trade and Investment Office. She also directed the Israeli National Council for the Advancement of Women in Science and Technology.
