Letter: Mental health needs of people in vulnerable situations
MEPs Sara Cerdas (Portugal) and Tilly Metz (Luxembourg), who both co-hosted our event with Mental Health Europe at the European Parliament in November 2024, have sent this letter to the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety, Stella Kyriakides.
The letter reports on the findings from the November event concerning EU actions that can best address the social determinants and intersectionality of mental health challenges facing vulnerable populations, such as those with rare diseases, across the EU.
Ultimately, this letter makes the welcome call for the Commission to improve their mental health strategy.
