Julie Pernet joined EURORDIS in 2022 as European Public Affairs Senior Manager. She is responsible for engaging the European Network of Parliamentarian Advocates for Rare Diseases and ensuring support to the advocacy activities of EURORDIS towards the European Parliament and the EU Institutions.
Julie has over 10 years of experience in EU advocacy, particularly on women’s rights, sexual and reproductive health and rights, freedom or religion or belief and LGBTI rights. Prior to joining EURORDIS, she has worked for the European Parliamentary Forum for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and the European Humanist Federation/Centre d’Action Laïque.
Julie holds a Master in Political Sciences from Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence and a Master in European Studies from the Institute for European Studies (ULB) in Brussels.
She speaks French, English and Spanish.
