EURORDIS role in the project

In all its activities, c4c places patients at the center, ensuring that children and young people, parents and carers participates in all aspects of clinical trials. Many initiatives have been carried out, such as the development of specific training courses for clinical experts and patients, and the promotion of specific paediatric clinical trials. EURORDIS was particularly involved in the Programme Committee of the three c4c Multi-Stakeholder Meetings, where we involved relevant patient experts in the meetings: paediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease, paediatric Atopic Dermatitis and Medical Devices in Paediatric Type I Diabetes. EURORDIS also led a workshop for patient organisations on pediatric drug development and a follow-up webinar for patient experts about c4c activities which is now available on the c4c website.

EURORDIS priorities on Treatment

Treatments provide relief to people living with a rare disease and their families. A treatment can slow down the progression of a disease, treat the symptoms or cure the disease. They ease the reality of living with a rare disease every day.
